Archie Kao in “TMZ” TV Show
Archie Kao (Kai from Power Rangers Lost Galaxy) was part of a featured piece on the 1/3/11 episode of TMZ’s television edition.
The segment follows Archie’s recurring role on CSI: as a technical assistant, and how every other police drama also seems to have Asian men playing the part of the computer experts.
As the show often echoes the news from their website, there’s a possibility that the raw footage of his “interview” can be found on TMZ.com soon.
Henry Cannon in “Attack of the Show”
Henry Cannon (Mr. Kaplan from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) appeared on G4’s Attack of the Show in a skit called “That 1770s Show”. In it, he plays George Washington and is trying to legalize marijuana.

Power Rangers Samurai Theme Song?
In this latest video from the Saban camp, we get a closer look at the Rangers during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. We also hear a tune that sounds a lot like the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers theme song. Could this be the new theme song for Power Rangers Samurai? And yes, they are singing “Rangers together, Samurai forever!”

Power Rangers Samurai in HD
According to the January 10th issue of TV Guide, Power Rangers Samurai will be in HD. It’s about time! No more squished sentai footage!
Power Rangers Samurai premieres Monday, February 7th at 8pm ET on Nickelodeon.

Mark Dacascos joins “Hawaii Five-0″
Mark Dacascos (Advent Master Eubulon from Kamen Rider Dragon Knight) made his second of many appearances in tonight’s episode of Hawaii Five-0 on CBS.
He plays the role of Wo Fat, a part made famous by Khigh Dhiegh in the original ’70s series as the arch foe of Five-0 leader Steve McGarrett. His official introduction to his enemies comes after the arrest of Hiro Noshimuri on the Kaimuki Golf Course, simply giving his name with a smirk before riding off in a golf cart. The episode is #113, “Ke Kinohi (The Beginning)”.
Given the history of his character, there’s no telling for how long his role will recur.
Power Rangers Samurai Premiere Date
A new version of the second Power Rangers Samurai promo came out, and the premiere date is Monday, February 7th at 8pm ET on Nickelodeon.

Seems so long ago when Johnny Yong Bosch appeared on the teamup for Power Rangers Operation Overdrive. Here are a couple of short clips of Johnny doing stunt training in New Zealand. More of these moves should have been in the actual episodes and less wire-fu!

New Eyeshine Album in Stores
Johnny Yong Bosch’s band Eyeshine has a new album available now. You can get their 4th album, Tone of Echoes, in their store and on iTunes. They also have a couple of music videos from this album, including “Our Whole Lives Tonight”, directed by Jason Narvy (Skull from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers).

How dare you call yourself a fan by not saving every single one of their New Zealand excursions captured digitally for our enjoyment? How dare you sit there and not parse every Facebook status that led us closer and closer to the Promise Land that is…Ricardo. Medina. Jr.!? Sorry, I have misspoken. Rick Medina.
Rick Medina graced us with his wit and charm, and after he burned every single shirt he ever owned, he is no longer with us. In cyberspace. What will we ever do without Rick? I can hear him now, warning me to “STOP!” from a mile away after he’s taken his time to stop as well. I can see him now, riding majestically through the anus of a giant serpent. That’s how it’s done. I grieve for my loss, but not for long.
Rick Medina, you will rise again and give forth your excellence to the masses. You will surpass your predecessors. You will triumphantly look down upon the weak. So until you return, I will disseminate to the laymen and let them know of your legacy thus far. No matter how much they try to fight the inevitable, Rick Medina will never give up.
