Original Music in Remastered MMPR
Ever since we learned that Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is coming back January 2010, the worry came about whether the original music will be part of the show as well. Not only has a source confirmed that the original music will be part of the remastered MMPR, Disney is contractually obligated to leave the music in the show. So worry not any longer!
Ron Wasserman (Composer from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) has also spoke on the issue via Starpoints Rangercrew:
I just heard [Mighty Morphin Power Rangers] was a go. I was told there was a chance they’d want things re-scored a few months back, but never heard back. A friend of mine said they were using all the original music because Saban owns all the rights and there was something in the contract that would have prevented Disney from replacing the music. I’m not absolutely certain about this so I guess we’ll all find out next year.
Two New Guests for Power Morphicon 2
ALYCIA PURROTT
As Sydney Drew, Alycia Purrott portrayed a world-famous musician, model, and Olympic athlete atop her duties to serve and protect Earth as SPD B-Squad’s Pink Ranger. An alumnus of the original Power Morphicon, Alycia has recently appeared on Supernatural and in the most recent film in the Cutting Edge series!
ADI ELL-AD
One of the longest serving editors for the show’s first four seasons (as well as Saban’s Masked Rider), Adi faced the daunting and complicated task of piecing together a logical narrative from PR’s many unrelated Japanese source materials atop the usually hard work of a television editor!

The inaugural and most recognizable of 15 Power Rangers themes, this powered up Mighty Morphin line will feature both fresh and nostalgic play and collection experiences. Including action figures, vehicles, Megazords and role-play items aligned with the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV series premiering Saturday mornings January, 2010 on ABC Kids; the highly anticipated toys will begin to arrive at retail by the end of this year.

Rangercast Interviews John Tellegen
Rangercast did a quick Q & A with John Tellegen (Writer from Power Rangers Ninja Storm – Power Rangers RPM). I’m still weeping over what John mentioned about a “Flynn episode”, but first, read the except below:
What was your favorite episode to write?
Jeez, I wrote close to 50 and helped (as we all did) on countless others. Over the years, the tone changed because of different showrunners and notes from Disney (make it funnier, now it’s too funny, make it scarier, now make it more exciting, wait, why isn’t it funny anymore?)… Even though it wasn’t well received by many on RB, the first draft of Ocean Alert was hilarious and a blast to write. I even stuck a review on my refrigerator that referred to me as “Craptacular” — It’s become part of my lexicon.
You can read the interview in its entirety here.

The Up & Comers Interviews Brandon Jay McLaren
The Up & Comers recently interviewed Brandon Jay McLaren (Jack from Power Rangers SPD) about his recent work and what projects he’s been working on, including a new show on FOX coming out in January. And if you’re expecting to hear anything about Power Rangers, think again.

Never-Before-Seen! Mariska Hargitay in “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie”
Before Gabrielle Fitzpatrick played Dulcea in “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie”, there was Law and Order: SVU’s own Mariska Hargitay. For whatever reason, Mariska left, and we’d never seen any footage or pictures of her playing the role…until now.
EDIT (3:11pm ET): The reason behind Mariska Harigtay’s departure was that Gabrielle Fitzpatrick was ill. Fitzpatrick was always the original Dulcea, but when she got ill, Hargitay took her place. Then when Fitzpatrick regained her health, she came back to become Dulcea once again.

A Cover That Doesn’t Suck – MMPR Theme Song by Nir Shor
Let’s face it, we hear a lot of covers of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers theme song time and time again, and they either sound a lot alike, or they just pretty much suck. The one below stays within the same vein and feel of the original, but at least the cover is well done, so kudos! Check it out!

“Megabot” Web Series
A new web series called “Megabot” is a Power Rangers/Voltron spoof. With wacky hand gestures, your token asian, your token black person, and your token girl…where was I going with this? Oh yeah, it’s cute and you should check it out. I’m posting the clean version, because that’s as much as I can take, lol. If you want to see more episodes, then go to Atom.com.

Erin Cahill and Keith Robinson on “Monk”

RPM Synopses – Episodes 27 & 28
Final Airing Schedule For Power Rangers RPM
Here is the final airing schedule for Power Rangers RPM, and for most, the scheduling will be bittersweet:
September 19 – Episode 24 – 12:30pm ET
September 26 – Episodes 25 & 26 – Noon-1pm ET
October 3 – Episodes 27 & 28 – Noon-1pm ET
December 19 – Episodes 29 & 30 – Noon-1pm ET
December 26 – Episodes 31 & 32 – Noon-1pm ET
On the one hand, it’s great that we don’t have to wait until next year to see the finale, but on the other hand, the finale premieres on Boxing Day!? (For the Americans who don’t know, Boxing Day is the day after Christmas.) I’d rather have a huge break for the show and then ramp it back up in the new year, but it’s not surprising that Disney wants to get RPM out of the way as fast as possible.

The HeroPower Show Interviews Dan Ewing
Dan Ewing (Dillon from Power Rangers RPM) was a guest on The HeroPower Show, and he talked about how he got into acting, his interaction with the cast of RPM, and thoughts on Eddie Guzelian and Judd “Chip” Lynn. Here’s an excerpt (Warning: Explicit Language):
