Casting of Joss Whedon’s upcoming horror movie Cabin in the Woods just released, and Anna Hutchison (Lily from Power Rangers Jungle Fury) is taking part. The film is set for release in early 2010.

Power Rangers Over?
According to this article, Power Rangers RPM will be the last season at the moment. Here’s an excerpt:
The production manager for the show, Sally Campbell, told the Weekend Herald that “at this stage we will not be shooting another season”.
All signs point to “yes” on the cancellation, but many times networks change their mind at the last moment on these things. It makes sense to cancel the show due to the economy, but Power Rangers is still a huge hit around the world. Will there be a worldwide backlash with Disney’s decision at this time? Only time will tell.

Welcome!
Welcome to the new layout (and ultimately brand new site) for No Pink Spandex. Been working very hard on this, and I’m glad to finally reveal it! Here’s my plans for NPS in the near future:
1) More news. Since NPS is not going to be just a podcast anymore, I’ve decided to merge Ranger News into this site. You’ll see the results very soon!
2) More interviews. One is coming very very soon, and 3 are in queue. Can’t wait to release them!
3) More video. Some of you may know that I’m a videographer at heart, so I really want to get more video for this site, and not just interviews and covering conventions either. Fan films based on PR are popping up slowly, but I want to fully support even more. Maybe even create as well. That’s more of a long-term goal, but I’ll throw it in here because it needs to be stated.
Overall, I hope to make NPS your one-stop-shop for Power Rangers news: Audio. Video. Text. New motto, same good stuff.

I’ve been working very hard to get episodes, audio and video, published for you guys. Very hard. Currently, NPS has covered two conventions, and including that, has recorded 4 interviews with PR alums.

First Look at Power Rangers RPM
It’s been up in the air for a bit about what the new season of Power Rangers was going to be called. It seems as if that the first toys from the new season have popped up on eBay.
Jungle Fury DVDs – Vols. 1 and 2
Finally, Jungle Fury is having DVD volumes coming out December 16th. With a running time of 135 minutes each, the DVDs will have 6 episodes on each volume.

Jeffrey Parazzo in “Samurai Girl”
Jeffrey Parazzo (Trent from Power Rangers Dino Thunder) was in the new miniseries Samurai Girl on ABC Family. In Episode 3, he played a bartender. I was watching the show outta the corner of my eye, and I noticed him. (Crap, it better be him, lol.)

Side note: I do have to say that ABC Family shows are not my thing because they all look horrendous, but this looked like something Doug Sloan would make, so I checked it out. Yeah, still a tad horrendous, but not too bad.
New Music
Ron Wasserman (Composer from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) has posted a new song on Rangerboard “just for fun”. The song is in the vein of the old fight songs of MMPR. It’s pretty cool. Check it out!

Melanie Vallejo in “The Sculptor”
Melanie Vallejo (Madison from Power Rangers Mystic Force) is in a new movie called The Sculptor. Synopsis:
A struggling artist dabbles in black magic to find success, but when he has everything he ever dreamed of, the demons come back to haunt his life, his work and his family.
According to the site, the movie is in its final stages of post production. (Which means we’ll never see it, lol.) But for now, you can check out the two trailers. Lots of women grinding up on this one crazy dude. He’s not even that cute…
