Jason David Frank is now 2-0, as he won his bout with Chris Rose on February 19th. Won in the first round with a TKO. I’m waiting for a match where Jason isn’t fighting a dude with their gut hanging out. Just saying!

Power Morphicon 2 Update – Hotel Information
Power Morphicon has updated their website with hotel information. The Sheraton Pasadena is taking reservations at $109/night (plus tax), and you can find more info here. Be warned, the discounted rate only applies to the actual convention dates. You cannot get the discount beyond those dates.
Johnny Yong Bosch Filming “Love Like Bullets”
Johnny Yong Bosch is filming a new film Love Like Bullets, a shoot-em-up in which “a hired assassin risks his life to protect a beautiful young prostitute who has captured his heart”. The screenplay is written by Johnny himself, and directed by David Wald (Stunt Actor from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie – Power Rangers Wild Force). Below are pictures from the set:
Hilary Shepard Turner to Launch New Board Game
Hilary Shepard Turner (Divatox from Power Rangers Turbo), will be debuting a new board game she helped develop at this year’s American International Toy Fair in New York City, February 14-17. She co-created the party game Liebrary for SimplyFun with her best friend, actress Daryl Hannah. According to an article on the web site Metro.co.uk, Hannah said, “I’m launching a couple of games that I invented, a couple of board games, at a toy fair in New York — they are based on old parlour games. It’s a sort of a silly hobby that me and my best friend, we kind of invent these games together.”

Blast from the Power Past – Power Rangers Wrap Reel
This gem has recently appeared on the internet, and it’s truly amazing. The editor of this Power Rangers Wrap Reel is unknown, but they put together behind-the-scenes clips and pictures from Mighty Morphin through Wild Force. Since Wild Force was the last Power Rangers season filmed in the US, a lot of people had to say goodbye, but at least they went crazy before they left! Love it.

Blast from the Power Past – Steve Cardenas Then and Now
The highlight of Power Rangers back in the day was that you got to see the actual ranger actors pull off great martial arts and stunts. None of this covering-your-face-to-hide-the-stuntie business. What we didn’t get to see a lot of were the actors who were martial artists doing their stuff outside of the show. How would we? Most of us were drooling kids, the Internet was AOL with its lovely modem noises…you get the idea.
Now, we’ve got technology to show us what our favorite rangers really can do. Sure, you’ll be able to see video of Mike Chaturantabut (Chad from Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue) doing his XMA thing, or Jason David Frank do demos at conventions, but is there video of any rangers showing their skills back in the day and then now sans Power Rangers? Enter Steve Cardenas.
The first video is from a 1996 tournament that Steve won. The second is from the gold medal Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu match at American Nationals 2009, which Steve won. Still got it.
Red Ranger on “Pawn Stars”
Red Ranger is as basic as I can get to describe the monstrosity that someone brought into the pawn shop on Pawn Stars. Life-sized red ranger that is part Ninja Storm/part Mighty Morphin, and all too sad. Why sad? Just watch:

Jason David Frank’s premiere MMA fight against Jonathon “The Mack Truck” Mack just ended. According to the play-by-play of The Cage Door, the fighters “trade punches. JDF fell down but recovers. Mack is dancing in the middle of the ring. Mack looks game. HUGE SHOT FROM MACK!!! JDF is hurt BAD.”
