Eyeshine in “Gimme the Gig” Contest
Johnny Yong Bosch’s band Eyeshine performed in the Ford Fiesta “Gimme the Gig” contest, held at the Whisky A GoGo nightclub in West Hollywood, CA and broadcast on KTLA-5, The CW affiliate in Los Angeles.
Presented by Grammy-winning music producer Don Was, the competition dwindled some of the best unsigned rock bands from all over the west coast down to the top seven, who all showcased their talent in front of a live audience before one was selected by Was to work with on the production of two tracks. Unfortunately, Eyeshine didn’t take the top prize, but they did get to start off the evening. You can view the entire event below.

Emma Lahana in “Hellcats”
Emma Lahana (Kira from Power Rangers Dino Thunder) returns as Savannah’s sister Charlotte in the March 1 episode of The CW’s Hellcats.
It was revealed to Savannah in the February 1 installment that her sister was pregnant, and now Charlotte is ready to tell her who the father of her baby is. The episode is #117, “Don’t Make Promises (You Can’t Keep)”.

Jorgito Vargas, Jr. in “Supernatural”
Jorgito Vargas, Jr. (Blake from Power Rangers Ninja Storm) guest starred in the February 18 episode of The CW’s Supernatural.
He played a security guard at the Salzman & Sons clothing factory who notices a noise before he’s stabbed by a haunted mannequin. He also appears after that in pictures and flashbacks. He looks a bit different than you may remember, rocking long hair in a ponytail as well as a mustache. The episode is #614, “Mannequin 3: The Reckoning”.

Archie Kao in “TMZ” TV Show again
Archie Kao (Kai from Power Rangers Lost Galaxy) was part of another snippet of TMZ’s television program, for the 2/7/11 edition.
This time, on the way inside of the Cheesecake Factory restaurant, their photographer mistakes him for actor John Cho. He’s a bit embarrassed, but they catch up with him after he leaves, and he seems to have taken it all in stride.
As always, there could be footage of this found on the TMZ website within the next few days.
Ilia Volok in “Supernatural”
Ilia Volok (Master Org from Power Rangers Wild Force) guest starred in the first new episode of 2011 for The CW’s Supernatural.
He plays one of two dragons assigned to capture virgin women, and after escaping the Winchesters, throws one of his captives through a portal to bring the mother of all monsters from Purgatory. The episode is #612, “Like a Virgin”.
