Goseiger should have been called Power Rangers: Miracle Men Card Battler Death Squad :3

just some feedback, there seems to be a lot of rambling, kind of off putting. too many people trying to say something but are cut off by someone else talking over them, so its hard to understand what you all are saying…thats it really…

now i LOL’ed when i heard the “precocious man child” rant. that sh1t was funny! i actually read the line of this episode as “precious man child” anywhore…
i also agree it would be awesome-sauce if saban brands tried to rebuild what was foxkids back than. it would be awesome if they brought back all those shows “bobby’s world” “life with louie” “goosebumps” etc. i do hope that is the direction he’s going.
the two year deal is a bummer, but i think thats the lesser of two evils that saban had to deal with. maybe no other channel wanted to host Power Rangers on their channel lineup, so it was either sign a deal to show prs over two years on nick or no power rangers at all.
i do have to say that when i heard lisa talk about the events this year and next about maybe doing a contest to bring over a winner with friends to the place where they film the episodes is a great idea, but it was a lil far fetched to think saban would haul over NPS crew since all i keep hearing is a lot of bashing on the current season. dont get me wrong PRS/PRSS deserves a lot of bashing, but i think your crew should come about it a more neutral way. just my 50cents is all.
i think the events thing for the anniversary season should be contests, maybe feature fans on new episodes of power rangers as they aire, like in between commercials or during the ending credits of the show, win prizes like signed dvds or posters/photographs, etc.
i think even though the press release for megaforce was basically the plot for goseiger, that we’re going overboard on thinking it will be just that, another carbon copy of goseiger. i think the press release just needed something to be released for the public to know on what might be next season. i dont think all those names and plots may actually turn up in the series. if saban brands said it will be an original season, than i believe it will. cuz if it isnt they’ll be upsetting us, since we now know we’re a big presence online and they’ve been scouring rangerboard.com on feedback. so i dont think they’d lie about the originality of megaforce.
i do agree the name was halfassed. they could of done so much better and i do hope the finally get someone to do a full theme song. i mean we are in 2012, start doing full 4 minute theme songs, only air the minute long theme for the series and freaking sell the full opening theme on frakkin itunes! make some effort saban!
i think the casting slides need to be ignored in a sense that we shouldnt think thats how the next season will be portrayed. they sounded like real people, real emotions, real situations but i think the only reason they sounded like that was to attract better actors who can emote all those situations well. better than the lackluster of actors they hired for this current season.
btw, where are there audio episodes filmed? is everyone who does it live in nyc?

We were mostly joking about the set visit event (though it would obviously be pretty cool). NPS Live, though, is an actual event that has been held twice in recent years. The standard podcast is never “live” as only Lisa lives in New York.

Hope that helps clear things up. :)

Hi guys (& gals):

This pod cast had me cracking up so hard that I now have a migraine. Or something pulsating near my right temple that kind of hurts… Oh well.

Anyways, the whole “Super Fan” thing. Ugh. It’s been nearly 20 years since I started being a fan, and I would think that I’d qualify, but I am wondering if I have to have a million toys, and know every bloody thing that went on per an episode…

I’ve seen uploads on the Facebook page of “Super Fans” posting their insane collection of toys. And, it makes me wonder, if that makes a “Super Fan”, then what am I?

I have a few toys, and know the minor details. No, I can’t rattle of the credits. I always had a hard time hearing the lyrics to tv shows, until the internet came along and offered lyric pages. Once I could read them, then I could “hear” them, and so on.

But, I’ve been a fan during the highs and lows (there were many) of the franchise. I’ve been made fun of, and alienated by my peers and adults due to my age and of liking the franchise. My middle school year book is full of Power Ranger references, and my high school locker had PR pictures in it. My college room mates bought me a Dino Thunder birthday card, and any interested boy friends learned first hand, if you don’t like my ranger-fan-dom, then it sucks to be you.

So many, many, years later… suddenly it’s cool again to like the Power Rangers, and I feel so out of touch with the bandwagon fans. “Power Rangers are awesome!”. “Oh, really? What do you think about Zeo, Space, Lost Galaxy, Lightspeed….oh, not current enough for you? Let’s try Dino Thunder, SPD, Mystic Force…? *At this time the other person stops talking to me. It is obvious that they are only watching the remastered MMPR episodes on TV* And, the conversation dies, and I am back to being a closet fan.

So, what IS a super fan? I’m still curious.
