MMPR Rangers Appearing at Anime Expo

Press Release from Anime Expo:

Anime Expo® Goes GO! GO! POWER RANGERS!!!

Nation’s Largest Anime and Manga Convention Announces Power Ranger Reunion and Panel

Anaheim, California (April 17, 2009) ‹ Blast off with Anime Expo® and members of the Mighty Morphin’ Power Ranger dynasty as they storm into the Los Angeles Convention Center for one of the biggest Ranger Reunions to date at the nation¹s largest anime and manga convention held July 2-5, 2009. More information can be found on the website http://anime-expo.org.

Rangers in attendance include:

* Karan Ashley – Aisha, the Mighty Morphin’ Yellow Power Ranger
* Steve Cardenas – Rocky, the Mighty Morphin’ Red Power Ranger
* Walter Jones – Zack, the Mighty Morphin’ Black Power Ranger
* Catherine Sutherland – Kat, the Mighty Morphin’ Pink Power Ranger
* Johnny Yong Bosch – Adam, the Mighty Morphin’ Black Power Ranger
* Robert Axelrod – Lord Zedd

In addition to attending Anime Expo® 2009, the Mighty Morphin’ Power Ranger Reunion event will include a panel as well as a booth in the Anime Expo® Exhibit Hall where fans can meet, take pictures with and obtain autograph head shots of their favorite convention attending Rangers!

This’ll be the first time that the “replacements” in MMPR will reunite in one place, being Karan, Johnny, Steve, and Catherine. Adding Walter to the mix is the icing on the cake! And since this will be in Los Angeles, no doubt other alums will stop by. Dan Southworth is notorious for showing up to ranger events, so I’d bet money that he’s be there. Tony Oliver is usually there with Bang Zoom! Entertainment. Patricia Ja Lee has been to AX in the past, so she may be there as well.

Don’t hold your breath for anyone showing up unexpectedly or spontaneously who isn’t living in the LA area. Trust me.

You do an interview with Catherine Sutherland, mention the convention circuit, and suddenly she appears at one. You’ve got skills, Lisa. LOL

Well, I have been very vocal as far as my love for LisaJ is concerned. She is so beyond awesome! Like, there are no words to describe her.

Awesomeee!! I think we all owe you that Catherine Sutherland is going, since you told her about it on the interview! Well I like to think of it like that. So Lisa are you going to this convention? Tell us about it on your next podcast! Thanks for everything, take care!

I would love to go, and I’m trying to go, but currently am low on funds. I’d need some kind of miracle to make it happen (or lots of donations!). And I did help with Cat for the con, but a buddy of mine is really setting everything up, so thank him too!

All the info about the convention is right on the site. The navigation is right up top.

it does not say. it only say this convention is not profitable. just say it. is it free or not?

Then something is wrong with your browser/computer, because it’s right on the front page. Hardly any conventions are free, anyway. For more details: http://www.anime-expo.org/registration/
