Nick and More on Twitter has reported that Power Rangers Ninja Steel will be premiering on Saturday, January 21, 2017 on Nickelodeon. Here are the the first two episode summaries:

#701 – Return of the Prism – January 21
A young teen named Brody escapes to Earth from an alien spaceship with a special artifact called the Ninja Nexus Prism. He and two new friends must unlock its secrets to defend it from the villainous champion Galvanax.

#702 – Forged in Steel – January 28
As Brody, Preston and Sarah return to Brody’s childhood home in an attempt to fin his lost family, Hayley and Calvin come across a strange alien named Mick.

According to IGN.com, Saban Brands is naming the 2017 incarnation of Power Rangers (TV show, not movie) Power Rangers Ninja Steel and has provided the following synopsis:

Saban’s Power Rangers Ninja Steel starts deep in space, where Zircon is the reigning champion of the most popular intergalactic game show in the universe, and monsters battle to prove who is the mightiest warrior. Zircon is determined to become invincible by controlling the mythical Spirit Crystal, which contains six supernatural Ninja Power Throwing Stars. The only thing standing in his way is a new team of heroic teenage Power Rangers who possess the Spirit Crystal. The evil Zircon sends his warrior contestants down to Earth to steal the Crystal, where each epic battle against the Rangers is broadcast throughout the universe. Together, the Rangers must master their arsenal of Throwing Stars, Zords and Megazords, each made of legendary ninja steel, in order to stop this evil threat and save our planet from destruction.

Episode 2 – Forgive and Forget
Snide plans to contaminate the city water with venom that makes you forget who you are in hopes that the Rangers will be infected. Meanwhile, Riley has a score to settle with an old rival at the Amber Beach Marathon.

Episode 3 – A Date with Danger
Chase tries to impress his new girlfriend, Kaylee by showing how talented and accomplished he is. But when it becomes more about him and less about her, Kaylee starts to fall for the Black Ranger instead.

Episode 4 – Nightmare in Amber Beach
Shelby receives a pillow from an unknown sender. When she uses it to take a nap, she starts living a nightmare. The Rangers suspect this must be from Snide so they all make sure to stay awake, but that proves to be harder than they thought.

Episode 5 – Roar of the Red Ranger
Tyler tries to master the new T-Rex Super Charge Mode, but after Heckyl plants a virus in Kendall’s computer, the T-Rex Super Charger malfunctions and makes Tyler go wild! Luckily, the Aqua Ranger is able to step in before it’s too late.

Episode 6 – Forged Under Fire
Tyler looks forward to catching up with his dad after not seeing him for the past 10 years. When Tyler’s Energem becomes cracked, he is forced to mend it by placing it in Hot Lava and prove to his dad he’s not a kid anymore.

Episode 7 – Home Run Koda
Kendall creates a new Victory Charger that requires the core 5 Energems. But when Riley becomes Koda’s coach on the Amber Beach Earthquake baseball team, he has a hard time pulling himself away from the game to help the other Rangers.

Episode 8 – Riches and Rags
When Ivan mistakes a thousand year old suit of armor as a training dummy, he finds himself in debt after destroying it. Heckyl sends in a hybrid monster named Spell Digger to spread greed to anyone who touches his gold coins.

They are entrusted with protecting the Energems from a fierce bounty hunter named Sledge, who has returned and is more determined than ever to capture the Energems for himself.

503 – A Fools Hour (2/21)
Sledge arrives on Earth to confront Keeper and the Rangers. He gives them a deadline to return the Energems, but coming up with a plan to fight back gets compromised when Tyler goes after Fury on his own. Can the Rangers figure out how to work as a team?

504 – Return Of The Caveman (2/28)
Chase tries to help Koda adapt to modern day technology after he struggles to learn how to ride their new high tech Dino Cycles. But when they are caged in a cave by one of Sledge’s monsters, Koda must rely on his caveman instincts to escape and save his friend.

When Yugi learn that the spirit inside his puzzle is actually an unnamed Pharaoh from Egyptian times, he and his friends attempt to help the Pharaoh regain his memories.

Advertising Age reports that “Saban intends to air episodes from a past season that have not been seen in about a decade, Mr. Dekel said, though he emphasized new episodes would eventually debut” on Vortexx. Vortexx is the new CW Saturday morning block (7am-12pm) premiering August 25, 2012.

According to Henshin Justice, season 1 of Power Rangers Megaforce will be adapted from Goseiger and season 2 will be adapted from Gokaiger, which will “unofficially” be called Super Megaforce.

The CW offers a five-night, 10-hour primetime lineup of original programming that runs Monday through Friday; a one-hour weekday afternoon block; and a five-hour Saturday morning animation block.

According to Rangercrew, Power Rangers Megaforce will have two seasons: 20 episodes and 2 holiday clips shows each season in 2013 and 2014 respectively.

They also state that a new Power Rangers series will launch every two years with a new theme. It looks like Saban Brands will keep to the Samurai route of having two seasons per one adapted Sentai counterpart.

Fans knew something was up when Power Rangers Samurai gave us a big kick in rear into their 3rd episode as passed that off as a premiere. Since then, we’ve been waiting to see the actual premiere, and it’s coming!

Up until last week, The Licensing Book Blog said that the “Power Rangers Samurai Origins special…will air on Nickelodeon in September”. But now, the blog is singing a different tune and “September” is nowhere to be found in the article. Notice the differences below:

Power Rangers Samurai will be premiering Monday, February 7th at 8 PM ET on Nickelodeon, but will move to its normal schedule on Sundays at noon. Reruns of Samurai will be on Saturdays at noon on Nickelodeon and Fridays at 8-9 PM on Nicktoons.

The ratings for Disney’s original programming have always been higher than Power Rangers could offer, so if anything were to get bumped from the lineup, it would be our beloved heroes in spandex. There is a possibility that Power Rangers reruns could resurface on Disney XD, but we all know how well that turned out the last time.
