Eka's character of Selwyn Ward on Power Rangers RPM (2011) was not the first black leader of the power rangers. He was the second black leader of the power rangers. Actor Brandon Jay McLaren was the leader of the power rangers on Power Rangers:SPD (Space Patrol Delta), and there was a black leader on an earlier season of Power Rangers as well prior to Brandon.
