I'm glad that I listened to this episode many years later.

First off, I'm glad you were right about Power Rangers returning "one day". But I am even more glad how wrong you were with the estimate of years. It luckily was a lot sooner than 8-20 years.

Secondly, you were right: the next series would be either epic or terrible. It was terrible.

Thirdly, if you ever re-listened to this podcast, and had to re watch RPM's finale, you would probably give it a 5. Samurai, anyone? *Bleh*

Fourthly, I gave RPM a 5 before Samurai ever existed. After Samurai, I would add more hypothetical stars to your 5 star poll.

Fifthly, the reason why the ending was awesome was due to the epic cliff-hanger. I'm a part of those who speculate that Venjix still exists in the morpher, and could be drawn upon for the future translation of Gobusters.

Sixthly, I didn't take notes like I usually do when I listen to the podcasts, so I am going to end here...

Prior to listening to this podcast, I was a normal person. We were at a friends house a couple of months ago and dug up an old VHS of the White Ranger episodes. We proceeded to flip our shit, because however hoaky and terrible it looks to these high-brow Ranger fans, it was probably the greatest thing we had ever seen.

I caught one of the episodes this past Saturday, and beyond the weird color effects they added, I thought they looked fantastic! It was like something in my heart had eased, and I could breathe a little better. Thanks to this podcast and this site, I also own the Green Ranger and Pink Ranger figures, and plan to go digging for more. I might even buy two sets, one to keep in the box and one to play with.

Good episode, finally had some time to listen.
We got a good taste of the future of power rangers today. 90's cliches meets 60's Batman meets YouTube style effects.
From a designer's perspective, it was interesting.
From a fan's perspective, it was just weird.

I've come to realize that children's TV makers are the devil. Disney, 4kids, and so on.

As for the bad use of the Hybrids, it was cause of the show having no money. It costs too much to pay for extras. The show was lucky that they even got those few seconds of mind control moments. I'm betting half the budget, of the episode, went toward the CGI shots of the command tower.

The reason with all the confusing junk with the Megazords and people staying where they where etc. was caused of the Go-onger footage. You really can't ask the US team to film Zord footage.
